Christopher Bare
BA | NREMT | Sgt. USMC
Chris Bare began his journey into the security industry in 2002 when he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps. Specializing as a Scout Observer coordinating fire support assets, he cross trained in direct action raids, large and small unit tactics, personal and crew served weapons, IED/CBRN awareness, trauma response, intelligence, counter-intelligence practices, and many others as an attachment to a variety of units.

In 2005 Chris deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Steel Curtain & Iron Fist... one of the largest military operations of the Iraqi campaign. He coordinated fire support and directed counter battery fires during combat operations. For this deployment Chris was cross trained to be a Marine Corps Combat Aidsman, trained and equipped to assist Navy Corpsman in mass casualty incidents. Other achievements of his military service highlight his intelligence and technical knowledge by being instrumental in creating a digital data link during a multi-national artillery demonstration during Operation Bright Star in Egypt (2005). The operation enhanced cooperation between 14 other nations from across the world. Chris’s teaching and communication ability was showcased when he collaborated to develop a doctrine of instruction for the Navy and Marine Corps Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific in digital fire support communication.

Following his completion of honorable service in the Marine Corps, he transitioned from military service to private security/investigation. Accepting a position for Sears Holding Corporation in Loss Prevention, over a period of 3 years he was successful in prosecuting in excess of $10,000 in external and internal theft cases. In doing so he represented Sears Holding Corp. in a court of law on multiple occasions. Chris honed his skills in criminal theft, deception, and fraud investigations as well as CCTV usage, footage review, and hardware installment. Also during this time he worked with a private investigator doing clandestine surveillance on foot, vehicle, and OSINT-gathering further exercising his skills.

After his three years of retail/corporate security with Sears Holding and private investigation, he decided to pursue his education. Chris was accepted to Millersville University where he graduated with a BA in Government and Politics with departmental honors, and minoring in international studies. His educational focus had been on both qualitative and quantitative research with focus on Islamic extremism. His departmental honors thesis examined the relationship between gender inequality and political frustration in Saudi Arabia and its relationship with terrorist activities. Chris has presented at the Millersville undergraduate conference Made in Millersville and was selected for the competitive Walker Fellowship.

Chris is currently a safety and security officer at a College of Health Sciences; a private university specializing in secondary education for healthcare professionals. Utilizing various methods of public safety techniques, CCTV and access control software he
provides safety and security in academic, administrative, healthcare, and public & private settings. Drawing on educational experience of various research methods, Chris explores evidence based studies to promote and expand safety and security policy and procedure. Chris continually seeks to expand his knowledge, training, and experience in the safety and security industry.

In October 2017, Chris formed Bare Dynamics as an answer to the shortfalls he found in the security industry. Seeking to bridge the knowledge and equipment gap between experts and citizens he seeks to create an atmosphere of self-reliance in personal safety. Chris’s daily motivation comes from his best and most challenging job. His duty and privilege as a husband and father to his wife and four children.
